They/Them

Lis Stumpf

Hometown: New Hyde Park, NY

Lis was born and raised in Queens and started farming in 2021. You’ll mostly find them on the farm, either in the field, fiddling around with something broken, or lying in one of the beach loungers. They enjoy looking at the sky, searching for fish in Barton, staying up to date with celebrity gossip, and being in their car.

Would you rather be Dolly Parton’s pool boy or David Blaine’s PA?

I couldn’t possibly choose between the two.

She/Her

Mo Ryan

Hometown: Englewood, FL

Mo is a worker-owner at Hot Spell Farm and has found her niche in social media and on farm operations. She started farming in 2021 and immensely enjoys the repetitive and meditative nature of working on the farm as well as having the chance to merge her love of art with work. Growing food for her community makes her happy. Outside of work Mo enjoys swimming, hiking, daydreaming, reading, and spending time with her loved ones.

Would you rather be chronically under or overdressed?

There is no such thing as being overdressed.

Andy Lee

Hometown: Toronto, Ontario

Andy has worked in small-scale production farming since 2023. Since joining Hot Spell, Andy spends a lot of time on and off farm asking questions and thinking about the teachings of plants. In their spare time, Andy likes to Google bugs, make clothes, and walk around the neighborhood in search of cats to slow blink at.

Would you rather be 10 centimeters tall or 10 feet tall?

10 centimeters. I want to ride around in an electric toy car like Stuart Little.

They/Them

Corrine Ramirez

Hometown: San Antonio, TX

Born and raised in Central Texas, Corrine began farming in 2023 after years of working in the service industry surrounded by delicious food. They believe that learning to grow delicious food is the best level up they’ve experienced thus far. These days Corrine focuses on supporting the farms co-operative development and incorporation. When Corrine is not on farm, they are usually gabbing with friends, endeavoring in their somm studies, or swimming in the nearest body of water.

Would you rather have a pinky the size of your whole arm or a foot the size of your nose?

Long pinky for sure, so I can tickle you from across the room. >:)

She/Her

Kimila Lee Miller

Hometown: New York, NY

Kimila grew up on the Upper West Side of Manhattan and moved to Austin in 2022 to follow the love of her life. She is by no means a farmer, and handles the administrative and financial end of the business. Part-cheerleader and part-consigliere, Kim’s goal is to “get Hot Spell super poppin’.” If you’ve ever emailed the business, the two of you may have even conversed. In her free time, Kim can be found buying liters of carbonated water, going on long walks, and listening to the same 5 French Montana songs.
